21

I turned 21 yesterday and I was lucky enough to have my birthday split into two days.  On Sunday I went for a meal with my family, followed by birthday cake back at home and presents.  I got a new bottle of my favourite everyday perfume from my Sister (thank god, I have a drip left in my old bottle) and a gorgeous bracelet from Links from my Brother and Sister-in-Law.  Yesterday morning I woke to a stack of cards, I was surprised that there were no repeats!  With the cards came a present from my parents.  They bought me a Tiffany's necklace which I had asked for and I'm completely in love.  My Mum and I went shopping during the day, where I used the money I received from relatives to pick up a Pandora bracelet and a couple of charms as another little memento. In the evening I went out for dinner and cocktails in London with my best friends.  They surprised me with a cake, complete with sparkler candle as well as some NARS make up and huge poster of The Saturdays and Twilight (they know me so well).  All in all I was a very spoilt girl and I'm so thankful to my family and friends for making it a great birthday.  It's safe to say I wont be needing any jewellery for a while!

Celebrations.

Next Saturday see's one of my nearest and dearest turning the big 21.  Not that I ever need an excuse to go shopping, I thought a new dress for the evening would be appropriate.  Whilst sorting the showroom out after our vintage event, I came across a gorgeous 18 AND EAST asymmetrical dress (i'm starting to feel that I have a bit of an obsession with these types of dresses for going out...)

£35.00

So this is it.  I love the print for a start.  They describe it as 'wild', not really sure what it means but I like it and it seems to be a signature print that they use as another dress I have from them is the same.  It fits good, although one side gapes slightly, nothing a bit of cotton and a needle can't fix.

I'm planning on wearing my statement Dressrail.com heels, which I talked about here.  I do have an alternative shoe idea, which are these cut out heels from New Look:

What do you think?
Accessories wise, I think I will go pretty minimal, choosing my Links of London charm bracelet and perhaps my vintage fox ring.  Look out for a OOTN on Sunday (trusting that i'm not cuddling a bucket and all that...)

I hope you're all enjoying a lazy Sunday and I'll see you in the next post!

OOTD: Is it Spring or Winter? Weatherman, make up your mind!

I haven't done an outfit of the day for a while, so I thought I'd bring you one today.  I stood in front on my wardrobe, peering back and fourth from my bedroom window thinking, "What on earth should I wear today?!"  It has been one of those stupid spring days which starts off like a winter morning and chirps up after lunch.

Jumper:  H&M
Dress:  H&M
Tights:  Primark
Necklace:  Primark
Bracelets: Links of London, DollyBowBow, H&M and Paris

I opted for a thin jumper over my LBD to keep me warm.  I absolutely adore this necklace, and unbelievably it was a Primark find!  I am getting my hair feathered next week just to further my love of feathers!  I'm thinking brown ones to contrast with my blonde locks in a natural way?  I will probably also get some 'blonde' ones put in too.

We went out on the streets of Epsom today to film vox pops for a practice broadcast video.  The question on our lips was, 'what is your biggest fashion faux pas?'

This could be one of mine, a yellow tee and nappy combo.  Definitely a look I couldn't rock now!  I am however wearing some rather cute fake wayfarers.   Or maybe mine was the Spice Girls platform soled trainers... I wore those everywhere.

So, what's yours?

OOTD: Springtime florals.

The sun is shining and rightly so!  I decided to don my pretty florals today, hope you like it!

Kimono: Primark
Top: Primark
Leggings: H&M
Bracelet: Links of London
Necklace: Primark
Ring: H&M
Shoes (not that you can see): New Look

I also got round to trying some of my new make up buys, more on this later!  It's now time to make my way into uni.  Have a lovely sunny day!

Happy Belated Birthday to Me!

To begin, I'd like to apologise for the lack of blogging, but as the title suggests, it was my birthday yesterday!  I had a really good day shopping with my best friend and a rather cracking evening with many friends, including vodka.  Needless to say, i'm suffering horrifically today so I thought I'd share my presents and also what I bought with some of my birthday money.

I got two new Links charms to add to my sweetie bracelet - the strawberry and a four leaf clover.  Thanks to my mummy and daddy for these!

My brother and my sister in law bought me a £40 Topshop gift voucher, here is what I bought:

Pink spotty scallop trim vest
I really like the trim to this top and thought the colour was superb for this seasons colour trend.

Blue vest top
I liked this as it had a worn feel about it, the dark blue embellishments look like bobbles you'd get on worn clothes.

Peter pan collar spotted tunic
I abosolutely loved this when I first saw it online, so I was really pleased that they still had it in the shops yesterday!

We then moved onto New Look, which has a lovely S/S range this year!

Electric blue chiffon shirt
When I saw this I knew I needed to buy it.  I will most likely wear with a long top, tights and brogues.  I love the gold buttons, they really stand out against this gorgeous colour.

Chunky cable knit boyfriend cardi
I wanted something to wear with the Topshop tunic and this will go perfectly.  Its lovely and chunky, so it will definitely keep me warm!

After New Look we went to H&M, Superdrug and Boots.

I picked up this vest dress for £7.99, (bargain!) it will be perfect under the blue chiffon shirt or the pink crop top I bought, as well as many other items I own.

In Superdrug I bought the GOSH Brow palette and my best friend picked up Rimmel nail varnishes which were 3 for 2 and got me the Apricot punch colour.  We then went onto Boots where I finally got hold of a blending brush - it was £6.45 compared to MACs 217 which is £15 and works just as well!  I also bought a Chanel Varnish on eBay which came this morning, in the infamous Rouge Noir.

That's about all I spent yesterday, I still have some birthday money left over which will go towards my trip to the vintage fair tomorrow.  Look out for the blog post for pictures and information, tomorrow evening.

One year older but am I any wiser?

My birthdays looming, the 25th in case you were wondering.  I have a lot planned and i'm looking forward to it, but when it comes to what I want, I just don't know.  I would like to add to my Links of London sweetie charm bracelet as my three charms are getting lonely.  Here's a few i've been admiring...

Strawberry Charm £45 £12.99

Four Leaf Clover £45 £12.99

Plain Peep Toe Shoe  £45 £12.99

They are all in the sale which is nice, I couldn't find the coat hanger, which was originally on my Christmas List.

There's also a few things from Topshop i'd like:

£16.00

£26.00

£48

I can't wait to see what I get on my birthday, I'm planning on going shopping on my birthday too so fingers crossed.

LFW's Best Dressed Beauts...

With all the hype around London Fashion Week I thought I would contribute to the cause.  With many female celebrities turning up to park their size zero bums on front row, there was more than enough choice for my top 5 best dressed.

My first choice is Cat Deeley, the new face of Links of London, who turned up in a stunning purple Pucci jersey fishtail dress.  With purple being a key colour this season, Deeley is really on form.

Everybody's favourite socialite and MTV's 'The City' star is next.  Olivia Palmero attended Julien Macdonald's S/S 2011.  She sported former employer, Diane Von Furstenburg's skirt.

Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts goes from pop chic to rock chick in this TopShop dress at the TopShop Unique show.  The metal gray compliments her pale skin whilst her red hair keeps her from looking washed out.

'These Words' singer Natasha Bedingfield wow's the paparazzi at The Kristian Aadnevik S/S 2011 show.  The royal blue dress shows off her stunning legs and compliements her skin tone nicely, whilst the feathers give off an animalistic side to the garment.

Lastly, no top five would be complete without our favourite Manolo Blahnik babe.  SJP turned up to the Burberry show in a leather camel Burberry jacket.  With military being a big trend this season, she is showing the troops just how it's done.

All images found via Google, I do not own any of them.
