Lily in disguise.

A while ago, I blogged about Lily Allen's new collection for her boutique, Lucy in Disguise.  If you missed that post, click here.  All we were given at the time were beautiful illustrations to give us a brief taster.  Today her collection has been unveiled and I love how she's kept the vintage theme in mind, covering most of the key 20th century fashion eras, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s etc (they were all pretty significant in their own way).  Not a stranger to designing, Lily collaborated with high street chain New Look in 2007, she's show an evident growth from prom dress and trainers to classic and timeless.  The collection is available this month in Harvey Nichols as well as Lucy In Disguise.

Here are some of the collection, from still life to 3D.

What do you think?  I think she's done the 20th century justice.  Not bad for singer turned fashion designer, then again they're all doing it these days.

March Favourites and a cry for help.

Here we are again, another month gone.  Here are some pictures that sum up my month, what i've been watching, what i've been reading, what i've been wearing etc.

"absence is to love, what the wind is to fire, when it’s a small fire the wind kills it but when it’s a real fire it intensifies It, you see the thing is that the most important relationship you have in your life is with yourself, because no matter what happens you will always be with yourself” - DVF

I wish this was my make up collection...

Right, my cry for help is pretty much because I've been on the look out for Urban Decays Naked Palette (above).  I'm going shopping tomorrow and wondered if anyone knew of places that sell Urban Decay, apart from Boots and Debenhams.

Lily Allen paints a pretty dress.

Vogue.com reported that Lily Allen, owner of vintage heaven 'Lucy In Disguise' is to launch her own pre-fall line in the shop, taking vintage influences of course.  The ex-pop princess is extremely into her girly glam and frocks, she's even got Karl Lagerfeld to design her wedding dress!  I had a look at the collection, surprised to see they were only watercolour type pictures at the moment.  Nevertheless, there were a few stand out pictures that made me coo.

The dress on the right, named 'The Gold Rush', would be a perfect Derby day mini dress with it's horse print.  The other dress, 'Antibes', looks like something out of Britney Spears' 'Toxic' music video, don't you think?

Of course, if theres a floral pattern, obviously i'm going to love it.  'The Radio City' (far left) dress would be a perfect gown to wear out to a formal evening event, but as I am a student, I don't get to go to many of those.  I really love the middle dress, named the 'Promenade'.  It's got a cutesy feel to it, as well as looking like a very 50s number.

I can't really make a judgement until the garments are made, but this looks like it could be promising and successful in her shop.  Mary Portas eat your heart out!

What do you think?
