Favourites: March 2012

I'm finally on Easter break which means a (slight) rest from the manic few weeks of university that have just passed.  I've come back to a new look blogspot dashboard - a bit intimidated and wondering where everything is!  Over the past month we've gone from chilly to quite pleasant weather which meant that I started using lighter, highlighting and bright products.  Here are my March favourites...

BASE
Benefit Girl Meets Pearl - I got this sample with my Porefessional purchase and happened upon it in my  make up drawer when I was looking for a different primer.  The combination of this, and my foundation is amazing.  I'm pretty sure that my foundation lasts longer when I use this and it also gives me a radiant glow.
MAC Matchmaster Foundation in shade 1.0 - This has been the foundation of choice this month, it's one of the lightest foundations MAC makes, in terms of coverage, although it still gives a flawless finish.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light - This is great for setting my make up and it doesn't completely matte my face which gives it a nice finish.  A great everyday powder.
Benefit Hervana Blush - This is a really nice blush when you want a light pink flush to the cheeks and it smells amazing, so amazing that I find myself smelling my blush brush every now and then...
Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba - I've also been swapping Hervana for this blusher and for £1.89 it is absolutely amazing. I'm really in love with this shade, it gives a natural flush to the cheeks, would suit a lot of skin types and it doesn't break the bank.

EYES
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze - I have been using this a lot just as a wash of colour over the lids and I really like it.  As for the 24 hour staying power? No, it doesn't last that long, but it does have longevity.
L'Oreal Super Liner - I wanted to try a high street felt tip liner to replace my MAC Penultimate and this hasn't let me down.  You barely have to touch the skin and the product applies. It's extremely pigmented and stays in place all day.
MUFE Smoky Lash - I received my full size in the post last week, but I've been using my sample size on and off all month. I really like it and can see why it gets all the hype in the US.
Lancome Hypnose Drama - I got this sample in my March Glossy Box and fell in love with it instantly.  It's a great mascara and really does the job.

LIPS
MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj - When I want to look like i've highlighted my lips, I go for this lipstick. I absolutely love it.
Sleek True Colour in Fuschia - Another bright colour which I pull out often.  It will look lovely when I start to tan too!
Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart - For those days when you want a wash of colour that wont be high maintenance. Added bonus - it moisturises your lips too. Fandabbysdosy!
MAC Hue - This is my ultimate nude and a great formulation. I think a lot of beauty bloggers swear by this lipstick and now I know why!

NAILS
Nicki Minaj for OPI in Fly - This has quickly become my favourite polish from the NM collection.  I need to purchase this in full size as it's a great summer colour.

MISCELLANEOUS

Now for some more random favourites...

It's no secret I've been enjoying reading my Kindle, this month it's been all about The Hungers Games trilogy. I've just started the last in the series, Mockingjay (review of Catching Fire coming soon) and have really enjoyed the story lines, character development and Katniss Everdeen.

Technically this isn't a monthly favourite but One Tree Hill has been a firm favourite for 9 years and this week it is all ending in a 2 hour finale. I'm not looking forward to it - I have been in serious denial that this show is ending since it was announced.  My hopes for the last episode? I'd really love Leyton to come back but I know deep down it wont happen. So Leyton mentions would be great.  I know Mark has said that we say goodbye to all the important sets (Tric, Karen's Cafe, Red Bedroom Records, Brookes childhood home and of course where it all started - Tree Hill High).  I think I will be doing a entire series review of One Tree Hill for all who haven't seen it and also to share my favourite seasons and moments.

What have your favourites been this month?
