Twiggy's making a comeback

No, not with another M&S advert, but her famous 'pixie' cut was first seen by Emma Watson, and now Ashlee Simpson has hopped on the bandwagon.

I'm not happy about this, I love the cut on Emma, but i've always envied Ashlee for her hair.  Ashlee's hair has been noir, barbie blonde, auburn, short with punky layers, long with sea salted waves and now she's had a short back and sides.

I can't find myself envying short hair, I love my girly 'blondielocks', and I can't see short hair ever suiting me.

This isn't to say I hate short hair, Frankie Sandford has a lovely short crop which has a voluminous bounce to it.

So girls, what's the verdict? Do you like the short crop or do you prefer longer locks?

You're Gonna Loose That Girl To... 60's Fashion

When I think of the 60's I think, The Beatles, Twiggy, flower power and Volkswagen camper vans.  60's fashion has been slowly making it's way back with floral continuing to be a huge trend this season and camel coats being a must have in your A/W wardrobe.  Even Twiggy is making a comeback modelling for M&S.

Abbey Clancy (as pictured by Alasdair Mclellan, above) is seen in issue four of LOVE magazine sporting a 60's inspired side ponytail, a look that the keen back-combers will enjoy.

The camel coat (Max Mara fall 2010 pictured above), first seen in the 60's is back in shops. Not a lot has changed, giving it an authentic look and proving it to be a timeless look.

As for flower power, the floral trend has become increasingly popular over the last 18 months and is still being featured in lines for Diane Von Furstenburg, Christopher Kane and ERDEM.  Heres a few ideas on how to get the look if you're on a student budget like me.

If you're shy about wearing a heavy print, try: Crop Vest, TopShop £28

Not so shy? Try: Rare Pleated Floral Dress, Asos.com £48

Fed up of you're bland blazer? Try: ASOS Floral Blazer, Asos.com £55 £20
