I Spy! Hazardous shoes...

Today's I Spy! gimmick really made me go 'woah' and not for the right reasons!  New Look have launched the Shoe Gallery on their website, which is lovely, but after clicking on 'going out shoes' I was left regretting that very click.  Why? I hear you ask, well brace yourself girls...

£49.99

Now perhaps it's just my taste as these are now only available in sizes 7 and 8, but I'm just not sure they are easy to pull off at all.  The heels come in at a whopping 7.3", this would usually attract me as I'm all about looking tall but I can't help but think these are made out of playdough...

What are your thoughts? Yay or Nay?  I'm gonna have to say Nay to these...

I Spy! Volumising Hair Products

These products have been out for a while now, and until Monday, I had only tried three out of the whole line.  Umberto Giannini have developed a line called 'Glam Hair' - "Every glamour vamp knows that big hair oozes sex appeal".  The most popular product is probably the 'Backcomb in a Bottle', which i've tried and love quite a bit.

Today I want to talk to you about the most amazing hair product in the world, the 'Sex Bomb Massive Mousse'.  Lately, I've been trying to get a bit more oomph in my hair, and I ran out of the 'Rock n Roll Extreme' hairspray which is equally as amazing.  I popped into boots where the range was on 2 for £7.50 and decided that i'd try the mousse out.  It says to scrunch into the roots and then blow dry, which I did, turning my head upside down to help the volume out, and when I came back up, my hair looked exactly as the top image does, volume to the max.  I really do rate this product, and I will definitely be rebuying. The products also smell incredible.

This is the kind of body you can achieve.  I used the sex bomb mousse and the rock n roll hair spray!

I am thinking about getting this deal as part of my giveaway so tell me - would you like to see the mousse as one half of the duo?

I'm off now to get ready for an evening in Covent Garden with my best friend.  I'll be seeing this pretty lady and also interviewing her too!

I Spy! Inspired Knitwear Desginer: Sara Bro-Jorgensen

Just a quick blog today guys as I have SO much university work to do.
I wanted to introduce you to the designer I met today, this is also an exercise to absorb some of the information I got from today!
She's different to any other designer I have met or love from a far, she works with knitwear.  Sara was born in Denmark and had trouble deciding between photography or fashion design as she'd always been making clothes for her sisters and herself but loved taking photographs.  In the end she did a BA in Fashion Textiles, then moved to London to do a masters in Knitwear.  This year she won Vauxhall Fashion Scouts 'Ones to watch' award and got to show her A/W 11 collection.  Here are some of her lovely designs for you all to check out.

She keeps her love of photography within her work, using the print technique and creating Trompe L'oeil which she thinks is "fascinating".

I like this look - cropped knit with shoulder pads, loving the 80s vibe here!

So what do you think of this designer, I personally say Yay to this.
Yay or Nay?

Check back to my blog soon, I'll be posting the full interview profile on Sara! Also, I will be posting week three of my Neutrogena trial here tomorrow as I have so much to do tonight.

I Spy! New York based designer: Setareh Mohtarez

I apologise for the lack of I Spy! blogs lately but I have come back with a bang.  I'd like to introduce to you a new designer I've come across.  Setareh Mohtarez is a NYC based designer who combines shape, colour and movement in her garments.  She has a strong vision for innovation and fantasy whilst keeping a strong respect for classic elegance.

Her collection "Brightness Dawn" was a huge success and it's clear to see why:

When I first saw the collection the solar system jumped into my mind.  I feel like looking at these are like looking at the different planets.  They are gorgeous designs and the shapes slightly remind me of David Koma's work.  I'm on the waiting list for an interview with her and I can't wait to hear her inspirations and what's next, as this collection was launched in 2009.

This weeks I Spy! gets a massive Yay from me, but what about you?
Yay or Nay?

I Spy! Luxurious knitted goods.

With the weather not seeming to get any warmer, we've been in dire need of our snoods and wooly hats.  Unfortunately, the high street may offer you the garment at a decent price, they don't always give you the warmth you desire through the winter months.

Have no fear, i've found you a little gem.  It started off as a simple follow over on Twitter but after cooing over her website full of knitted goods, i've finally decided to share the love.  Louise Dungate is her name and knitting is her game.  It's quite expensive but what you are getting is good quality garments and when you think about it, you're making an investment which never goes out of fashion.  Here are a few of my favourites.

 The Original Snood; £45

Ltd. Edition "Fox & Rabbit" Headband; £80

The Pom Pom Hat; £45

So guys, what is your verdict, Yay or Nay? Would you be happy to pay more for something that will last longer than one wintery season, or are you going to stick to you're Primark goods?
I vote Yay.
