Skincare that Works #2 | Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

Since entering 2013, my skin hasn't been the same.  I noticed a couple of dry patches around my nose, my t-zone had been oilier than ever and my chin some what resembled the himalayas.  To begin with I thought it was the diet I had started, as after a quick google session a lot of ladies were saying the same thing, that their skin went crazy for the first few weeks.  My skin is getting back to normal slowly but surely thanks to the addition of a couple of new products.  The first product I added to my evening routine was Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins oil free moisturiser.

After trying a sample that came with a previous Origins order, I fell in love with the product and decided to get it full size.  There are two different varieties of this moisturiser, one oil-free and the bog standard version.  Suffering with an oily t-zone I opted for the oil-free product. It comes in a 50ml pot, which i've been using for almost a month now and I've barely scratched the surface. Full of vitamins, minerals and moisture-rich replenishers, Origins say this product will help your skin look renewed and refreshed by the morning.  It has a gel like texture, similar to the Drink Up Intensive mask, and it sinks into the skin right away, leaving the skin looking noticeably more radiant.  It smells quite citrusy, almost like the orange creme sweets you get in the Quality Street tin.  Overnight it works to replenish skins moisture as well as brighten it up.  When I wake up my skin looks as it did when I first applied the product, radiant and it feels silky soft to the touch, the dry patches around my nose have finally disappeared and my t-zone is a lot less oily.

At £33 a pot, it's a lot to spend on a moisturiser but I'm a believer that if you invest in skincare that is full of naturally active ingredients, your skin will thank you for it.

What's your favourite evening moisturiser?

  1. I'm really needing to start using a night cream and this sounds really good. Need to save up my pennies for this I think :)

    1. I used the same moisturiser both day and night before picking up the Origins and I've definitely noticed a difference since using it! xx
