| Before I get into this post, I would just like to say a massive thank you as I've just reached 300 followers - amazing! I think this deserves a giveaway, so I'm going to put my thinking cap on for a prize. |
Back to today's post which is about one of the most infamous products on the beauty blogosphere - Origins Super Spot Remover. I've only recently purchased this little magic pot because my skin has had a really rough time adjusting to the cold weather and my new diet. My chin has represented the Himalayas somewhat over the past two weeks, but it's finally starting to clear up thanks to this and some other products I've been trying.
Super Spot Remover is a blemish treatment gel designed to help combat pesky breakouts, reducing redness and shrinking the spot as well as help correct any dark scars appearing post zit. The main active ingredient is salicylic acid, which once applies stings a little meaning that the product is getting to work. To apply, I use a cotton bud (or Q tip) to dab on to the infected area twice a day, using a clean bud per breakout if necessary, as this is the most hygienic way and less likely to spread. Before using this, I was using PanOxyl, another talked about product in blog land, but it just wasn't doing anything and I have since retired it. Depending on the spot, the Super Spot Remover can reduce redness and size in between 1-4 days, but the best thing is that if you feel something threatening under the skin, this product keeps it from surfacing. Using this and my favourite Out of Trouble mask, also by Origins, have fast become my spot fighting dream team.
At £13.00 for 10ml this is a small price to pay for a product that actually works.
What's your favourite spot fighting product?
