Tobi or not Tobi?

I've recently been contacted by tobi.com an online fashion retailer to partner with them.  Tobi.com are a lot like asos.com with the different range of clothes and beauty products they have to offer.  They are based in San Francisco but ship internationally - good for those of my readers (and myself!) who live in the UK or Europe!  They stock some great designers such as Acne, BCBGMAXAZARIA, Alice + Olivia and Ella Moss.

Without even thinking I jumped at the chance, and what's more, you can also get a benefit from it!  Tobi.com have been very generous and are offering myself and all my readers 20% off their online boutique all year round!  I decided to look through the site and pick out my favourite finds that I thought you might enjoy.

Acne Halo Wedges $699/£435
I love Spring and Summer shoes, they are always interesting and gorgeous.  I am a big fan of wedges and would love to own a pair of these bad boys!

Grey Antics Split Back Dress $198/£123
I love the 80s feel to this dress with the extremely deadly shoulder padding. I also like the colour and the material looks quite suedey!

Nixon Watch Pink $60/£38
I'm a sucker for pink, so when I saw this watch I cooed in delight.

Vena Cava Viva Vena! Hustler Printed Mesh Combo Dress $275/£171
I saw this and thought of tinkerbell, minus the fairytale green.  It is also very ballerina chic!

Grey Antics Sidewinder Cutout Leggings $77/£48
I never wear anything but leggings or tights, so I like to mix it up a bit every now and then.  These would make for a perfect going out look with perhaps a bright coloured pair of heels to add a bit of 'pop'.

Now for the exciting bit, you can get 20% off everything on the site, all year round simply by quoting my discount code 'NONOPTIONAL20' at the checkout.  Even better, if you happen to forget the code then just check the discount code on the left sidebar of my blog!  So what are you waiting for? Go grab yourself a fashionable discount today!

Fashion's invented a time machine.

Designers must have a time machine hidden away somewhere as trends are gracing us in S/S 11 collections from 1970s and now A/W 11 has reacquainted us with the 1990s.

Vena Cava showed their collection yesterday during New York Fashion Week.  Designers for Vena Cava, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai were inspired by Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani, as well as the post 80s/early 90s, where fashionistas were unsure what to do with their detachable shoulder pads.

The collection therefore contains jackets with Joan Collins style shoulders (Dynasty is making a comeback both on screen and on the street), palazzo trousers which sit nicely on the 'natural' waist and midriff bearing cropped tees.

Here are a pick of my favourite designs:

An all black ensemble which screams classic.  Black pegged trousers, midriff bearing cropped tee with transparent panelling detail and a fringed jacket, complete with shoulder pads.

I'm a big fan of this look.  Black leather shorts with a plain jersey crop top and an oversized cardigan which has leather detailing on the sleeve.

A simple look that can be worn both during the day and out at night when paired with killer heels and the right accessories.  Light terracotta palazzo pants with black off-the-shoulder leotard.

I would like to say a quick thank you to end this post, this is my 100th post and i've also just received my 50th follower - you guys are fantastic and keep me incredibly inspired.  Love to all my followers.
