No7 Foundation Match Made Service

This week, No7 released some really exciting news that certainly got myself and other beauty addicts in a tizzy! For the past three years, along with make up artist and creative director Lisa Eldridge, they've been developing 17 shades skin true foundation.  The Match Made service is a UK beauty first and a breakthrough for all of us who can never find the right shade of foundation for our skin.  The pain free service consists of testing your skin tone using their Match Made device, which takes 27 photos per click.  Four clicks and 108 photos later, the No7 consultant will be able to tell you your shade and help you pick the right foundation for you.

This morning I popped in to my local No7 counter and had the Match Made service and to say I was impressed would be an understatement.  I was initially dubious, being so fair I didn't think that the device would work or might combust because I was just too pale.  Luckily, nothing went bang and the consultant told me I was the shade 'Calico' and that my shade came in every foundation except one. We then had a chat about what I like in a foundation, covering finish and the amount of coverage I prefer.  After whittling it down to the No7 Essential Natural Foundation, the consultant then proceeded to applying the foundation and this was when I was really impressed.  When she showed me what it looked like on the skin, it was amazing. It was my skin but better - completely evened out.

The foundation itself is really light and cooling on the skin.  It's made for all skin types, has SPF 15 and is hypo-allergenic.  What I also noticed was that their is 40ml of product when most foundations are only 30ml - going to get your money's worth there!  I will post a full review in a few weeks after I've thoroughly road tested the foundation.  To find out more about the new Match Made service watch the video, courtesy of Boots, below.

Are you going to try out the Match Made service?

  4. I am so glad more drugstore brands are finally bringing out greater ranges, I am getting fed up of having to always mix my own shade with white foundation. Love this post x
