A vintage affair.

Today I went along to a vintage fair in London.  We got there at about 12 after a sat nav malfunction and it was extremely packed.  I wasn't on the hunt for anything in particular, although I had Levi shorts in mind.  Of course they had them in abundance, but did they have my size? No.

The view from the stage.

There was lots of boutiques, including Victoria Vintage and Oh So Retro.  They even had hairdressers giving gals new do's inspired by the 60s.  If you're a regular reader of this blog then you'll know I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to jewellery, especially vintage jewellery.  My only purchases were jewellery and I love what I bought.

£3.00 (Sorry for the rubbish picture, see below for another)
The first necklace I bought was this french coin pendant and it's on an extremely long gold chain.  This was only three pounds and I am pretty sure I got it from Victoria Vintage.

£10.00
The second necklace I bought was from a handmade stall which was highly popular.  The had pots of random vintage broken jewellery, watch faces, vintage scrabble pieces and so much more.  The general idea was pick something already made or you could have something custom made.  I wanted some silver jewellery as a lot of mine seems to be gold, so I picked out the watch face, an N letter and a heart pendant and had this necklace made.  I love the fact that it's vintage, and no one will ever have the same necklace as it's one of a kind.  This was ten pounds altogether.

This is a better picture of both necklaces.

£4.00
Whilst looking around at jewellery I spied this baby.  It's a wolf ring, which I thought was quite cool.  It was £4 and I thought it was something different to the typical owl ring that has been spotted on most peoples fingers this season.

Everything £5 boutique.

I saw these golden oldies and instantly thought about Rachel Furner's band mates wearing them on stage.  Blue and white stripes are her thing.

Last but not least, I wanted to mention my chauffeur, Albert.
I'm joking, this is Mikey, he did however drive me and my best friend up to the fair today which technically makes him a chauffeur.  He is wearing his "new" vintage scarf as well as a hat me and my best friend bought for him, he looks rather dashing don't you think?

All in all it was a pretty sweet day, I would have been happier had I found myself some vintage Levi shorts.

How has your Sunday been?
